Last week, Imaginart Gallery opened the exhibition “Apocalypse Now” by artist Illma Gore.

The exhibition opened its doors on Thursday , July 10, to a warm reception from the public and critics.

Born in Brisbane in 1992 , Illma Gore has established herself as one of the most provocative and politically engaged artists on the scene today.
In Apocalypse Now , her most ambitious project to date, the artist transforms the biblical imagery of the Book of Revelation into a visual denunciation of contemporary collapse: wars, climate crisis, authoritarianism, systemic violence…

Iconic works such as Make America Great Again —the censored portrait of Donald Trump—and Rise Up Thy Young Blood —a flag painted with human blood—have already sparked debate around the world.
Now, in Barcelona , Gore invites the public to look squarely at a reality that we often prefer to ignore.

Apocalypse Now is not a metaphor for the future, but a revelation of the present.
A direct, poetic and uncomfortable exhibition that can be visited until September 18 .
