A Minute of Glory

On June 2, the exhibition “Maculadas sin remedio” (Stained Without Remedy) concluded in Córdoba amid great controversy. Charo Corrales’s exhibition reviews everything that happened and the consequences of her work “Con Flores a María” (With Flowers to Mary) .

Corrales works with photography as a means of expression, but as a multimedia artist, she also employs a variety of techniques and media for her creations, from ceramics to embroidery, video, performance, installation, and spatial intervention.

To date, the central focus of her work is personal or collective identity in aspects as varied as the body, age, emigration, immigration, femininity, and the relationship with nature. Her artistic side is intrinsic to her life, to being a woman, to experiencing her body and emotions.
