Banksy
Urban artist and activist
Banksy (identity unknown, likely born in Bristol, UK, in the 1970s) is a British urban artist and activist known for his politically and socially charged street art. His work combines humor, irony, and direct criticism of themes such as capitalism, war, social injustice, and power.
His pieces, usually made with stencils, appear anonymously in public spaces, surprising and sparking debate around the world. Banksy has managed to transcend traditional street art, placing himself at the center of contemporary art and popular culture, questioning the boundaries between art, vandalism, and social protest.
