Pablo Picasso (b. 1881, Málaga, Spain – d. 1973, Mougins, France) is one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. Co-founder of Cubism, he revolutionized painting and sculpture with his constant capacity for innovation.
Picasso explored multiple styles and techniques, from realism to abstraction. Works such as Les Demoiselles d’Avignon and Guernica reflect both his artistic virtuosity and his political commitment. His legacy encompasses an immense and diverse output that marked a before and after in the history of art.
