Salvador Dalí (b. 1904, Figueres, Spain – d. 1989, Figueres, Spain) was one of the greatest exponents of surrealism and an emblematic figure of 20th-century art. His work is recognized for its dreamlike imagery, complex symbolism, and hyperrealist techniques.
Dalí explored themes such as the unconscious, time, and sexuality, using striking and provocative imagery. In addition to painting, he worked in film, sculpture, photography, and design, leaving a multidisciplinary legacy. His eccentric and media-friendly personality helped consolidate his worldwide fame and the spread of surrealism.
